Owner and operator now
Petroglyph Development Group took over Great Canadian Casino Vancouver on May 5, 2026. The sale had been first announced on December 19, 2025. Petroglyph is the economic development arm of Snuneymuxw First Nation, and the Nation is its sole shareholder. In the company's own words, "all profits go back to the Nation".
The casino keeps the Great Canadian name under a limited licence. That name dates from December 2023. Earlier it was Casino Coquitlam, then Hard Rock Casino Vancouver.
In British Columbia, BCLC conducts and manages casino gambling, while private service providers run the casinos. On this site, "runs" means the operating company, and "owns" appears only where an owner or a sale is published. No separate operating company is named here for the Coquitlam casino. No sale price is given either.
